I read the book "The Prayer of Jabez" and it really made a
difference in my life. It is a small but very Powerful book!
I Chronicles 4:10 (NKJV)
And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,
"Oh, that You would bless me indeed,
and enlarge my territory,
that Your hand would be with me,
and that You would keep me from evil,
that I may not cause pain!"
So God granted him what he requested.

PRAYER
It doesn't take a special gift
To pray a heartfelt prayer?
And you don't have to be "ordained"
To know your Father cares.
It only takes a heart that loves
And wants to intercede
for others who are in despair
Or have some special need.
A prayer is a "petition"
For the people in your life?
A time of lifting up to God
Their sorrows and their strife.
But prayers are also blessings
Of thanks for all God's done?
Anyone can say a prayer;
Not just "anointed" ones!

JOY OF PRAYER
Through prayer we can talk
To the Father above,
He listens with patience
And answers with love.
The unselfish prayer
Brings Him joy and cheer,
But prayer selfish and silly
Must bring Him a tear.
We should pray in the Spirit
To grow in his grace.
We should pray that our sisters and brothers
In God will stay safe.
We should pray for all others
To be aware of His call,
So they may accept Jesus
As Lord of us all.
God knows every need
And He knows every heart,
So he knows what we ask
Would be asked from the start.
So pray to help others
To know of His grace,
To accept His salvation
So they may look on His face.
If we do our best
To make others succeed,
He will make us succesful
And tend to our need.
So when we are praying
Put others needs first,
Your rewards are given
For he loved you first.

PRAYER: GLORY TO GOD
Thank you God in heaven,
For your love and for your grace
And for the Holy Spirit,
For the trials in life we face.
You have freely given
All we need to survive on earth,
To last us through our lifetime
From the moment of our birth.
You forgive us wretched sinners,
You still love us when we'er bad;
But when we repent and worship you,
Thats all it takes to make you glad.
You gave us everything we need,
When you sent your only Son,
So that we could go to heaven
When our earthly race is done.
You put us here to love and witness
Of you who loves us all so much,
To keep our feet upon the safe path
And out of the devil's touch.
So it is with all our pleasure
That we give you undying love,
Through song, and love and praises,
To glorify our King above.

DEAR GOD
Dear God,
As he takes his last breath I ask of you to give him my best,
I pray to you that he defeats death.
He always was a best friend,
now he doesn't know whats left,
to encourage him to become a whole person again.
Please Lord I ask of you to bring him back to me again.

GOD'S MERCY
God's mercy is the source of all
The gifts that He has given,
And is for every tortured soul
That will live, has lived, or living.
Only He would show such mercy
To the killers of His Son,
Whom He sent to earth to bleed and die
For the redemption of everyone.
Yes, Lord Jesus paid a debt for us
That we could never pay,
So thank God for His mercy
When you fold your hands to pray.
It is only by His mercy
That the grace He gives to all
Who accept His Son as Savior
From the time of Adam's fall.
So I pray that you will join me
And pray for every soul
To be with Him when we leave here
For with mercy that's God's goal.

OUT OF THE ASHES
Dear Lord, take my hand, lead me back to the Light
Pull me out of the ashes of selfishness and pride
Please help me to stand on my own and be strong
But to depend on You, as I should have all along
My eyes have been blind, Lord, and my ears could not hear
My heart's become hardened, yet I drown in my tears
I've wasted my life, Lord, by feeling so blue
I'm ready now, Father, to join hands with You
I know you are tired so I'm reaching out my hand
Pull me close to Your heart, Father, help me keep your commands
I want to thank you, dear Jesus, for holding me up
When I was too weakened to drink from your cup
But I'm reading Your word, Lord, and I pray You'll stay near
For without You I'm nothing...all alone and full of fear
I want to come out of the ashes, God, to the warmth of Your Light
Yes, I know you forgive me, I feel your love for this child
Now open my eyes to Your wondrous beauty all around
And open my ears to life's beautiful sounds
Take back my heart now and make it tender and new
Please, Lord, take my life.....I give it back to You
